This film has all the hallmarks of a great film. The story is tight with little hints dropped throughout for the audience to figure out what’s going on.

The OG – literally. Watch characters, like Capone, that we are very familiar with coming up through the ranks. This is set before they become big things.

The writing team and director bite off a lot here. One story can be hard enough to get right but here they try to tell three.

You know that you are in for something special as soon as this movie starts. The company logos in the credits have something green and off about them.

Steven Spielberg gets brilliant performances out of everyone and captures one of the most powerful stories ever told on film.

Everyone involved was able to do something that you don’t see very often on film. They capture what feels like real emotion.

Section 20 are a deniable military force run out of the home office in the UK. This story follows their fight against threats to the UK and the world.

This is the 1984 original I’m reviewing. There will no comparison to the newer version. And really how could there be – Bill Murray – need I say anymore.

Throughout this film David McKenna and Tony Kaye remind us of how easy it is for someone to slip from the middle ground to the far right.

Like many Tarantino films that were to come it is the way in which the major story beats are revealed that makes this film great.
